Financial donations

Chillin in the polytunnel at Camas after morning 'chore' time
Cre8 is an independent charity so our money comes from a variety of places

  • Approx. 40% comes from grant funding and we want to keep this as small a percentage as possible as it can be so unreliable and ever decreasing.
  • 30% of our income we have earnt ourselves; this is through our two social enterprise businesses Cre8 Works and Cre8 Facilities - which both do commercial work and contribute financially to the Cre8 charity, and through our Learning Plus project which runs one to one sessions which are paid for by the referring agency (schools or social care usually). It's really important to us that we earn our own money through work; one of our key principles is that everyone should and can work and contribute something.
  • The final 30% of our income, and probably one of the most important areas of our income, comes from donations and fundraising - by individuals, groups or businesses. We are so incredibly grateful for this support - Cre8 could not run without it. It allows us to do what we do best - reaching out to those on the margins.

We continue to face challenges with our funding. We need to continue to work hard on ‘getting the message out’ and gaining support for Cre8.
Regular giving - Friends
For as little as £10 a month you can support the work of Cre8.
Friends are people who make regular donations to us. Their regular gifts allow us to budget and plan for the long term future. Funding a small charity like Cre8 brings many uncertainties. Our Friends give us the confidence that we can run activities on the Moss Estate in the long term.
As a Friend you will receive:
  • Three newsletters throughout the year
  • The Cre8 Annual Report
  • An invitation to 'spend a day in the life of Cre8'

If you're interested in becoming a Friend then simply complete the form to set up a direct debit, which can be downloaded here, and return to Cre8 at: The House, 11 Belgrave Road, Macclesfield SK11 7TW.

One-off donation
You can help secure Cre8's future by making a one-off donation, either right now online through Give.net, or by sending us a cheque. Both ways are explained on the right hand side of this page.

Don’t forget to make sure that your giving is Gift Aided. Gift Aid allows charities to reclaim the tax you have already paid on your donations. For example, each £1 donated by you will be worth £1.25 to us once we have reclaimed the tax. On a donation of £10, this will mean an extra £2.50 for our work. And it doesn’t cost you a thing!

Hold an event
Whether you plan to hold a coffee morning, run a marathon, or have a collection at Church, as a registered charity we're grateful for all donations.

If you are planning to hold an event to raise money for Cre8, contact info@cre8macclesfield.org for support and advice.

Legacies

If you feel Cre8 has made a positive difference to the lives of young people and their families and you support the work that we're doing, please consider leaving a gift to us in your will, so we can secure the programme's future.

No matter how small, leaving something to us in your will really makes a difference. We understand that family and friends come first but, once you have taken care of your loved ones, please take a moment to consider leaving a gift to Cre8.

Some people view making a will as a very private matter and feel they cannot discuss the details of their gift with us. But we would ask you to consider telling us a little about your wishes, in confidence, because it really does help us plan ahead.

For further help and information, please email us at hello@cre8macclesfield.org
