Internal Verifier & Session Leader Closing date: 5pm Wednesday 21st February 2018 Salary Grade 4 Point 13 £22,647 per annum pro rata Hours Approx. 11 hours per week Description We are looking to appoint a person to work within established staff and support the delivery of qualifications throughout Cre8’s projects. In particular to support young people from ages 13 up to 18 years who are at risk of exclusion from mainstream education on our Alternative Education project ‘Learning Plus’ and our Music project. The Internal Verifier role includes supporting the development of schemes of work, sampling and standardisation of assessment activities, observing and supporting workers in delivery of qualifications and communicating with awarding bodies. The Internal Verifier currently supports the delivery of basic qualifications in the following areas: • Gardening • Music • Cooking • Social Skills • Learning Skills • Personal Development Skills The session leader role involves working one to one with young people, to support them to increase their attendance, encourage appropriate behaviour, and deliver sessions to increase confidence and self esteem. The candidate will also assist young people to complete work towards a qualification accredited by NOCN with the help of our experienced team. The ideal candidate will have excellent motivational and communication skills and a background in working with young people who are disengaged and may be disruptive in their behaviour. They will work within a team on all aspects of delivery with a focus on personal development and reintegration into mainstream education. The will work on all aspects of verification and quality assurance and develop schemes of work to support our team in delivery of high quality sessions for learners. Please note this role involves working with vulnerable children and you will be required to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
