So just when you thought it couldn't get any better, along comes the Ceilidh! What an amazing evening! St Barnabas was jumping! Loads of people packed into the Church and pretty much every single person got up to dance. Jonny did a great job, as always, of showing us what we had to do and the band (made up of people involved with Cre8) were storming! Thank you to everyone who came along, young and old, for making it one of the most memorable evenings. We should do Ceilidh's more often - you can't help but join in! Probably one of the best evenings we've had at Cre8. What an incredible way to start the Festival week, and a very inspiring evening for all involved. We were treated to a great night - fun energetic, uplifting, reflective, thought-provoking, surprising and inclusive. Over 100 people (young and old) crammed into St Barnabas; clapping, dancing and singing along. Encouraging and supporting peers, neighbours and family. A theme running through the majority of comments and feedback we received was about how great it is to see young people growing and gaining confidence. This is the fifth concert we have held and some of the young people have performed in all of them and are now helping some of the younger or less experienced people to find their way. As Rob, Cre8 Director said, it's about seeing young people become everything they can be - fulfilling their potential. This is what it's about. If this is 'just the start' what will the rest of the Festival bring?! |
