After fourteen years Rob is hanging up his Cre8 Trustee Director’s hat at the end of March. We are delighted that Ameera Fletcher, Cre8's current Operations Director, will assume the role as Director of Cre8 from 1 April.
In his own words... "I’ve been hugely blessed watching what has happened at Cre8 whilst I’ve been here and I have every confidence in the team for the future; I know Cre8 is in safe hands. Ameera has been doing a brilliant job since she came in as a Director six months ago and she has a wonderful team of youth workers, young people, Moss Estate residents, volunteers and Trustees to work with. It’s now time for me to move on. Over the last fourteen years with all my friends and colleagues we have built something wonderful here; Cre8 has a strong reputation and good foundations in the community where we live and it will continue to give voice and hope to many in this neighbourhood. During the past twelve months all the team have worked hard to ensure a transition to a new leadership and I am really pleased with the way things have worked out. I’m not walking into another job, I’m still here on the Moss Estate and I’ll always be committed to helping and supporting folks here. I am thinking about what I do next and what I feel called to do. In the meantime I’ll see you around and maybe see a bit more of you now I've got some free time!" We wish Rob & Ameera all the best for the future. We will be organising a more official Goodbye Thankyou for Rob (with the traditional Cre8 'record of achievement!) to celebrate the immense contribution he has made to Cre8 over the past 14 years. There will be many stories, many photos and lots of laughter (hopefully some good food). Watch this space. Love from the Cre8 Team x
