Our grocery is a membership based, surplus food re-distribution service operating across Macclesfield. Providing surplus food donated from retailers to individuals, families, other organisations, charities, and community groups in the area.
There are no restrictions or criteria. This is about fighting food waste and stopping produce going in the bin!
Bring your own ‘regular’ sized carrier bags. (Not large bags for life.)
One visit per week per household/address.
A £3-£5 donation towards our costs per household is required per visit. (Price may change.)
You’ll get roughly 2 bags of food/toiletries. This is approximately £20 worth.
All of our produce is surplus donated food from supermarkets or retailers. This means it may be past its best before date or have damaged packaging, but that only means its not at its best. It is still perfectly fine to eat/cook with.
You cannot come and collect for others as well as yourself - just to keep it simple and fair.
