Terms & Conditions

  • Anyone can come along and become a member. There are no restrictions or requirements.
  • Payment - Minimum £3 (you are welcome to give more!) which gets you around £20 worth of food. This should be paid on the day by card payment or cash. Card payments are our preferred way of payment as it's easy and much less admin for us.
  • Our volunteers have sorted, packed and organised a range of different items that are available on the day including store cupboard stuff, fresh fruit and veg and usually chilled/frozen food. This varies every day depending on stock rotation and the donations we've had in. We can't guarantee to have everything you might want or need that day, so please don't ask the volunteers for extras other than what's out that day!
  • You can come once per week per household.  You don't have to always come on the same day - whatever works for you that week.
  • Members of the Grocery are able to collect for themselves and one another household if they're supporting another person. Please let us know on arrival if you are doing this.
  • If you would like a vegan or vegetarian or gluten free or another allergen free (e. G. Dairy) food collection made up, please let us know on arrival and we will do our best to accommodate you. As all our food is based on surplus donations, we may not always have everything you need but we'll try to make it work if you let us know.
