Our Mission

​We strengthen local connections and enable our community to make change happen for themselves and for their neighbourhood.
We widen opportunities for local people to experience new things and achieve profound change as part of a wider movement for social justice and equality.

Our foundational principles are Faith – Change – Community

Faith: Cre8 is an organisation with foundations in Christian principles. We believe people's lives can be changed by building community, treating each other with care, forgiveness and respect. Mutual relationships and trust in God are at the heart of our journey together

Change: We work locally to achieve profound change as part of a wider movement for social justice and equality.

​Community: We believe in the power of communities and the abilities of all people. We
celebrate the unique value of every person and recognise our need of one another.

We work in 3 key ways:
  • Creating opportunities: Music, training, volunteering and work engagement/readiness
  • Developing Learning: Learning Plus, community clubs, residentials
  • Nourishing our community: Grocery, Community events.

Cre8 Strategy

  1. To deliver high quality youth and community work that achieves sustainable change within the Moss Rose Estate.
  2. To nurture, enable and empower others who want to do good things in our community.
  3. To create learning opportunities that grow the youth leaders of the future.

Cre8 and St Barnabas Church

Cre8 began in 2005 as an initiative of Churches Together in Macclesfield, supported by a wide number of local Churches including St Barnabas' Church on Lyme Avenue on the estate.

Formal links were established with St Barnabas in 2011 when Cre8 Macclesfield became an independent charity with St Barnabas appointing three of Cre8's trustees.

The work of Cre8 is now part of the community outreach of St Barnabas, and a number of its activities take place within the church building and on its premises.
