Volunteering

Our Project Grow: Grocery Volunteers
Volunteers are at the heart of Cre8, and we welcome volunteers of any age, background and experience.

Having enthusiasm, patience, and being able to listen to young people without judgement are really important qualities for volunteering with Cre8.

Volunteers can work across all our PROJECTS from running crafts at clubs, to one to one sessions with a young person, or helping someone learn to play an instrument.

FUNDRAISING VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Contact Sophie if you are interested in giving us some of your time to help with fundraising activities.

Young people get easily inspired by enthusiastic volunteers.

From regular committed time slots, great our Grocery and youth clubs, to ad-hoc support when you have time to help us to organise, or to attend our events, or to support our fundraising efforts.

We particularly encourage those that have a passion in areas such as:
  • Art, craft and making things
  • Gardening
  • Cooking
  • Music
  • Maintenance and general practical skills like woodwork, mending and fixing things
  • Giving toolbox talks on practical matters eg managing money, managing relationships etc, based on your experience
If you're interested, what to do next?
  • Let us know your interest (phone the office on 01625 503740 or [email protected]) we will put you in touch with the appropriate Cre8 project leader.
  • We'll have a chat about volunteering, your experiences and passions, to better understand how you can help.
  • If you can commit to attending at least 50% of the projects' sessions - then are able to help you complete the necessary safeguarding DBS checks.

EMPLOYEE VOLUNTEERING
Does your company encourage employees to volunteer your skills and time for a number of hours per year? or on a short term basis during a particular week or month?

If so, there are just a few steps you or your company can take to become a regular or one off volunteer to help Cre8 get in early and support young people who haven't always had an easy start to life.

Get in touch with the office at 01625 503740 or [email protected] to talk about how Cre8 and your organisation can work together.
