Mayor's Civic Award 2020
Coronavirus Community Support Award
In the 2020 Civic Awards Cllr Janet Jackson MBE, Mayor of Macclesfield 2019-20 presented Cre8 with the award for Coronavirus Community Support in recognition of the charity’s work to support vulnerable people and families in Macclesfield during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Cre8 Director, Ameera Fletcher, and Cre8 Trustee Jenni Hardy were delighted to accept on behalf of all the staff, volunteers and community members who served the wider Macclesfield community, through the Project Grow Grocery initiative led by Katy Wardle, and our youth work led by Jonathan Aiken.
On receipt of the award, Ameera commented “We are so thankful for the award and for all the amazing support we get from our volunteers, this really is a community effort, and this shone through during the pandemic. Thank you for recognising the talents of our community.”
